TLD Europe, formerly named AET, was created in 1991 after ALBRET, ERMA and TRACMA had been purchased by TLD.

The original goal of AET, whose name meant Albret, Erma and Tracma but also Airport Equipment Technology, was to distribute and service these three product lines worlwide.

For this purpose, the sales and service teams of these three companies were merged together into one AET unique team.

When the DEVTEC network was purchased in 1992 by TLD, the TLD parameters changed because of the strong presence of DEVTEC network in America and in Far East.

At this point of time, AET incorporated Babbco (DEVTEC France) Sales and Service team and TLD decided that AET would become the TLD Sales and Service organization to cover Europe, Africa, Middle East and India.

Since 1993, TLD Europe has been very successfull in promoting TLD products in its territory, sales were multiplied by nearly 4 since this date. In the meantime, Service network with several exclusive distributors has become stronger and stronger.
